Medical problems are tough enough by themselves; talking about them can be even tougher. But sometimes open discussion of a difficult and personal issue can help so many other people. A Face Project was contacted by a person with this exact view.

In this intimate episode, Shanna tells us an extremely personal story about her case of focal nodular hyperplasia. Interweaving hard medical facts and her own feelings, she lucidly describes the pain and uncertainty that accompanied her unique experience with this condition. A keen researcher by both nature and profession, Shanna comes to her own conclusion about the disease’s cause and ultimately shares some sound health advice with others.
